There are a lot of highly skilled and creative fly tiers in the Netherlands. The best known internationally is without a doubt Hans van Klinken, the originator of the famous Klinkhamer Special, one of the most successful fishing flies ever designed. |

The Klinkhamer Special is only one of Hans’ creative fly patterns. The Leadhead, Caseless Caddis, Once & Away, and Culard are also widely known and used.
Commercially dressed Klinkhamers however are rarely tied well. Often incorrect hook models are used along with a wrong wing material and inadequate tying method, which leads to non-functional, sinking and / or easily damaged flies.
To overcome these complaints and to be able to offer the genuine article, we have started a co-operation with a top class fly factory and Hans van Klinken to develop perfectly tied Klinkhamers. These flies are tied to the quality standards and exact hook and materials specifications of Hans, who also keeps supervising the ultimate quality control.
These are the only commercially available Klinkhamers and other Van Klinken patterns that are supported by Hans van Klinken personally!
